Provisions:

Provisions include coffee/tea in the morning and lunch at the business meeting. Snacks are not served at breaks. 

Accommodations and Meeting Sites:

Meeting Site will be at Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell. An email will be sent to attendees with exact directions within a week of the course. We'll update lodging choices by March 11, 2022. More TBA

We will provide continental breakfast, coffee/tea, and a lunch during the business meeting.

Business Meeting

Business meeting and elections will be held at noon on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the CE site. Lunch is included for those registered for the course. Please RSVP if you are not registered (you may register online for this without paying).

Please send agenda items to the office or President Christian Appel by April 2, 2022. Final agenda will be posted in the members only section at www.aptamt.com by April 13, 2022.

Obtaining your CE Certificate

You must sign in on-site for each session; We will electronically distribute an evaluation during the final hour of the program; Once you complete the evaluation, you'll receive a link to your CE Certificate in PDF Format. If you register for the course in the final 7 days, your CE Certificate will be available in the 2 weeks following the program.


Cancellation Policy

APTA MT reserves the right to refuse/cancel an event registration. If APTA MTrefuses a registration, registrants will be offered a full refund.

Registration Cancellation by Participant:

Cancellations will be accepted in writing via email or mail. A $25.00 administration fee will be withheld when cancellation occurs up to ten days prior to the start of the event; 50% refund if cancelled 2-10 days prior; 25% refund if cancelled 0-1 day prior.

Group Discounts:

10% Discount for 3 or more APTA Member PTs/PTAs from one clinic. Fees for all persons must be made with one payment. No exceptions. Credit will not be provided at a later date. Combining discounts (ie Lifetime AND Group) is not applicable. If you need to take advantage of this, call us for a group code to pay online, or mail in your check with participant names.

Student Discounts:

Students may take this course at a rate discounted by 50% of the member and non-member rate, if there is space available prior to the start of the course. This course is a laboratory class with limited space, and therefore we must limit the spaces available at the student rate. If you are a student and would like to attend if we do have extra room for this course, please register for the student waitlist. APTA MT will notify you one week prior to start of the course to offer you a space in the course, if available.

Lifetime Member:

Lifetime members may take any non-limited seating, APTA MT sponsored CE at 50% discount. Combining discounts (ie Lifetime AND Group) is not applicable. If you need to take advantage of this, call us for a group code to pay online, or mail in your check with participant names.

About the course:

Course Description:

This course is designed to develop and refine our manipulation skills in a framework of modern pain sciences and patient empowering exercises as it applies to common disorders of the spine, shoulder and hip. A wholistic approach emphasizing exceptionally caring hands, keen listening skills, and empowering patient messages are all part of the package of effective clinical care. Manipulation techniques will focus on key spinal techniques that address common dysfunctions that are drivers or contributors to chronic pain disorders. This workshop will provide participants with improved manual and patient language skills and motivate them to make a difference in their community around the management of chronic pain disorders.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Confidently perform manipulation techniques to the spine while integrating patient language and pain principles.
  • Understand and apply a more wholistic use of pain education, whole body exercise, and funtional activities into your rehabiliation process.

About the Speaker

Dr. Flynn is board certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS), a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT), a Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association (FAPTA) and a frequent presenter at state, national, and international meetings. Dr. Flynn is widely published with over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts on musculoskeletal disorders and chronic spinal pain. He has received numerous professional awards. Dr. Flynn is a past President of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. He is a Professor of Physical Therapy at South College, TN.

Dr. Flynn is a world-renowned clinician dedicated to providing the highest quality care possible at Colorado in Motion in Fort Collins, CO. His primary clientele includes clients suffering from back pain, chronic spinal pain, failed back surgeries, and chronic pain disorders. He is passionate about ensuring that clients can and should expect better healthcare and the ability to have fitness and vitality throughout their life.
