PLEASE SAVE THE DATE AND JOIN US IN HELENA IN THE CAPITOL’S ROTUNDA from 11-1pm! For more information, please email sam@alpineptmissoula.com, or email the office by replying to this email. This event is an opportunity to meet our representatives, share about our profession, and have a presence in numbers. Thank you in advance for your participation and interest in this event!

HILL DAY IS HERE FOR 2023!!

What is this? It is a day that the Allied Professionals of Montana meet our lawmakers and share what we do. The Allied Professionals are SLP, OT, and PT professionals.

How do I participate? The best way is to SHOW UP come in person to the Captial's Rotunda to have lunch and talk with lawmakers about what our profession offers. We also have stations like balance or movement screens that you can be a part of.

What would I talk about? APTA-MT will have talking point cards for you as starters and related handouts to share as you mingle. Primarily, the message is access to PT SAVES HEALTHCARE DOLLARS. The research and practical experience is deep and evident - when patients are able to access PT first and easily there is a significant reduction in total cost of MSK care and unnecessary disability. We will have infographics on the research that supports this, we will have patient testimony, and we would love to have you share any stories you have that reflect this message. PTs transform lives through movement!

When is it? Friday, February 10th, 2023. We will be present from 9am to 3pm. The key time will be 11am to 1pm to meet with lawmakers. If you cannot make lunch time, please know we can still use your help before or after!

Why is this important? If we are not at the table, we will be on the menu! We need to educate lawmakers of our role in healthcare as they make critical decisions around policies that impact our ability to provide care from reimbursement to administrative burden to licensing.
