Wednesday June 28th there will be a virtual meeting for PTA’s at 7:00-8:00 pm. Please attend and learn how APTA MT is supporting the PTA profession. Laurie Roberts the PTA Council Representative and APTA MT Secretary will be leading the discussion. There are several important topics that are importance to PTA’s.
This meeting will discuss the changes in the PTA structure on a National Level including transitioning from a PTA caucus to a PTA engagement group. RC 9- 23, RC 10-23 and RC 25-23 will be specifically discussed. RC 9-23 is a charge to explore alternate models for physical therapist assistance education and practice. RC 10-23 is a charge for a National Conference on PTA scope of work and supervision requirements. RC 25-23 hopes to amend the bylaws of the American Physical Therapy Association to permit components the right to seat one physical therapy assistant as a delegate to the House of Delegates. Other proposed motions may be discussed if time permits.
